29 May 2019, Moscow. – Pavel Sorokin, the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, a co-chair of the RAO/CIS Offshore Program Committee held a meeting on preparation to the Forum to be held from 1- 4 October in St. Petersburg. The meeting was attended by over 100 representatives of the Russian ministries and governmental agencies, leading oil and gas and energy companies, financial organizations and R&D centers.
During the meeting Pavel Sorokin emphasized the importance of involvement of the companies and organizations into preparation to RAO/CIS Offshore and offered to use the Contest for R&D and innovative works aimed at development of the Arctic and the continental shelf as a platform for advancing the science and technology.
“The Ministry of Energy together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and other ministries and governmental agencies are now creating the current agenda of the Forum. In this regard the platform of RAO/CIS Offshore 2019 Conference will play a very important role in the development of offshore oil & gas in the near future” – said the Deputy Minister of Energy.
